I've used Bob Sehlinger and Don Otey's "A Paddler's Guide to Southern Georgia" since the early 80s. The thirty-four southern and central Georgia river maps and stream descriptions inspired me to venture into a whole new world of canoeing. The chapter on river difficulty ratings and hazards gave me the knowledge and confidence to canoe safely. Sehlinger describes the spirit of Georgia's streams in his Introduction, "To know the streams of southern and central Georgia is to love them, not just for their variety, but also their pristine beauty, exotic uniqueness, their wilderness flavor an tranquil remoteness. Almost every stream is protectively cradled in a forested wilderness corridor." Many of the rivers have large white sandbars that are excellent for overnight canoe-camping. There's nothing like being serenaded by cacophony of chirping, peeping, and bellowing frogs under star-studded skies. Or listening to cicadas or owls while sipping tea in the honey-dipped morning sun. Slipping the canoe into the river and surrendering to its pace brings peace. Sometimes it takes awhile to adjust your internal clock to the river's rhythm. But "river time" does come.

For anyone who has ever eaten, grown, or even heard about the Habanero, this is the book you must get. The Habanero Cookbook contains a plethora of information on the world's "hottest" pepper from its history and growing to its safe handling and cooking. The book has dozens of fantastic recipes, altough they all seem to be of the exotic type and mysteriously they exclude the mighty buffalo wing, which make waiting for my garden to grow an excruciatingly long time. One word of advice, if you already own "The Pepper Pantry; Habanero," skip this book, it's simply a larger version of the Pepper Pantry

This book is great for the history of habaneros. I did not know there were so many varieties of habanero. However, there are only a few recipes I would try. My taste runs differently from those in the book.

Good stuff

Now - this kind of manuals are few and far between, so get one before they run out.
I learned 2 "new" moves thanks to this book, and I think, that this is one of the better whitewater kayaking manuals around.
I would recommend it for anyone, who's serious about his/hers stuff, be it squirt- or playboating.
The lingo can be difficult at first, if you are not one of the baptised, but facts are hard nevertheless.
Instruction as a whole makes sense, but sometimes one needs the detailed illustrations, some of which will knot your brains while you try to figure what's going on.
Some of the moves can be hard to understand at first,especially if you're new in the sport, but it's worth it.

My son is getting great use out of this book. All sorts of tricks going down the local playspot, thanks to this book.I'd prefer photos instead of drawings, but seeing as squirtboating is not widespread, I'll take what I can get.
