I have paddled extensively in the areas covered by this book and find the route descriptions to be very accurate, but keep in mind this book is 17yrs. old and there are some changes, most noticeably many of the put in points have been closed ,fenced,etc. and no longer exsist. Check locally before a long drive.

A collection of erotica written by women who were tired of porn written by and for men. Primarily vanilla in nature, these stories give us a wide range of fantasies which many women may be able to relate to. The focus is on the plot and the characters, the chance for women to make their voices heard. However, those voice sometimes seem more interested in making a political and social statement than expressing sensuality. Not the best choice to turn one on but a good choice to investigate what real women may fantasize about.

Some may find it a bit too not erotic, but I enjoyed reading about the way a woman looked at her husband's hands and helped me see that in a sensual way. Love To Play

I love this book, to me it was just enough of a challenge but not so much that by Christmas I could play them somewhat with ease, I had an intermediate book before this one and this was just a bit harder. I love the songs. There were a few I didn't know at all. Our whole family could find a favorite they wanted to hear. I'd buy it again for sure!

These arrangements are adequate for quickly adding holiday repertoire and the chords are generally what you'd find in sheet music versions(except I Heard the Bells and Christmas Eve in My Home Town). Gesu Bambino, O Holy Night and Silent Night include nice arpeggiation in the left hand, and many of the selections present the right-hand melody in chords or octaves. Let It Snow, Rudolph and Santa Claus is Comin' to Town feature cute syncopated swing rhythms. But, "advanced" is not an appropriate descriptor. If you're an intermediate player (level 3 or 4 in standard lesson material) you can learn most of these pretty quickly. If you're looking for showy piano features, this isn't the book you want.

Nice variety of songs, but not the best arrangments

Pros: large selection of songs, and most of the songs have some very pretty parts

Cons: Not sure about the selection of time signature and key for some of the songs. Most are written in C major (kinda boring) and there are a lot of chords that you'll think "Huh? Really?" when you play them. Not the right kind of dissonant. Codas are used extensively, rather than adding depth and variation to the songs. If you use the "Look Inside This Book" feature, you see basically the best part of the whole book. The other songs are not as nice.

I strongly disagree with the grade 1-7 designation. This is a 30 page booklet with very simple language, few words on each page, in a large font.
**** It is appropriate for grades K-2. ****

The book asked children to recall details of their trauma. For this reason, I would strongly recommend that it be used by a therapist or by a parent who has consulted with a therapist.

The book prompts children to explore their feelings and do a lot of drawings (about positive and negative situations). No coping strategies are offered--aside from the use of drawing for therapeutic purposes and having children express feelings.

I've only had..and enjoyed this book for over 10 years, and since I'm not out paddling, thought it was time to write the first review for it.
William Nealy shares his politically incorrect and very humorous, sociocultural paddling wit and commentary in comic sketch form. It includes tips on "how to pick up a river person", River Accessories from S&M river Supplies (featuring Wanda the inflatable boat b**ch), an examination for a whitewater doctorate from S&M University of Whitewater Sciences, and many other outrageous and creative little paddling comic strip sketches and tales.
"Kayaks to Hell" is a satirical perspective on the whitewater paddling psyche and a "must have" for all dry-bags.

Hanson and Gerber offer an alternative approach to biomedical management or simply "learning to live with it' by presenting a comprehensive description of an integrated treatment approach for chronic pain sufferers.

The biopsychosocial perspective on the assessment and treatment of chronic pain that is described in this volume is based on the day-to-day operation of an effective outpatient pain clinic that evaluates clients, about 1/3 of whom are treated in an intensive 21-day patient program. The book opens with an explication of a theoretical model and a detailed description of its clinical implementation. The model's application with patients is described with emphasis on the need for a flexible theoretical approach and individualized treatment, which may include psychotherapy as an integral part of the self-management paradigm.

The biomedical and biopsychosocial models are discussed in detail with respect to how they presume pain mechanisms operate, how each views the phenomenology of the pain experience, and what are considered appropriate interventions. It is demonstrated how, rather than focusing on repairing mechanical breakdowns in the body machine, the biopsychosocial model concentrates on the individual with chronic pain. How a person appraises, reacts to, and copes with the problem and its treatment are considered crucial issues. The sociocultural context of the patient is also taken into account.

The evaluation and preparation of patients for self-management training is explicated. Topics include the reciprocal interactions among physical sensations, cognitive factors, emotional responses, overt behavior, and socioenvironmental features. The neurophysiological underpinnings of this model are briefly discussed, common self-management goals are summarized, and essential targets for change such as dysfunctional action tendencies, perceptions of uncontrollability, and self-focused attention are delineated. Complete chapters cover the critical issues of physical activity reconditioning, attentional refocusing, and a non-narcotic preventive approach for acute pain episodes. Another chapter addresses administrative, budgetary, and staff issues for operating a comprehensive pain center.

Providing a flexible and comprehensive approach that is particularly effective for chronic pain sufferers, but is also applicable to all types of illness, this volume will be of value to psychologists, physicians, nurses, social workers, and physical therapists. Ancillary health care professionals and administrators will also find much of interest.

Fear Not

Great read! Ed Love has a way of unpacking different biblical stories of how fear impacted individuals and how faith and belief in God saw them through it. It gets easier when you can see what others went through and to have scripture to go to when you are in your time of fear. It illustrates over and over the saying " If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it". Ed has a great way of bringing in personal stories to help further understanding of the content.

A true blessing within a book.

What an amazing book. It is very well wrote, easy to read, and understand with awesome references. It has opened my eyes that no matter what we have fear in we can over come them with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit on our sides. This book has blessed me, and I'm going to conquer my fear of public speaking and stand in front of my church and give my testimony before I give my whole self over to the Wonderful hands of the Lord and hear what He wants me to be.
